I started my catering career at Thurrock technical college, and gaining experience working at a local restaurant doing a bit of everything, I loved it and was hooked.
My career nearly went in a different direction having passed the entry tests to join the Royal Navy catering team.
But I had a trial at Langan’s brasserie and ended up working there for 3 great years, I then moved into the city for a few years doing Directors lunches for a contracting company.
After that I wanted a new challenge and went to the House of lords for nearly 13 years.
I have worked at Grocers hall since 2008 and have been the Head chef for nearly 6 years. I am responsible for cooking for the members and lent hall the commercial side of the business.
Its great being able to be able to plan seasonal bespoke menus for all the member events, using the best seasonal produce.
