William Best

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, William is one of only 28 recipients of the prestigious Master of Culinary Arts (MCA) from the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.

William's career began with an apprenticeship at Ashdown Park Hotel, a AA four red star country house hotel in Sussex, through the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. After achieving the position of Chef de Partie, he moved to London, where he worked in a variety of esteemed restaurants, hotels, and private members clubs. Notably, he has worked at The Square Restaurant, a 2 Michelin starred establishment under Phillip Howard, Wiltons, one of Mayfair's most exclusive restaurants, and The Ritz Hotel. 

In July 2022, he joined Brooks's, taking the helm of this prestigious club from Richard Tonks. 

Outside of Brooks's, William participates in the Adopt a School program, often visiting Great Ormond Street Hospital to deliver sessions to the children who participate in the hospital school there. Chef Michael began his culinary career with a prestigious apprenticeship at The Connaught Hotel in Mayfair under the legendary Michel Bourdin. He went on to work at notable establishments including 1 Lombard Street, Wiltons, Oulton Hall & Spa, and Whites Club—where he earned the Master of Culinary Arts (MCA) award in 2009.
